KKC Receives Outstanding Internship Partner Award from UCDC

Published On: June 8th, 2026

On June 2, 2026, Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto LLP received the Outstanding Internship Partner Award from the University of California Washington Program (“UCDC”), which connects students from all nine undergraduate University of California campuses with internship experiences in Washington, D.C. UCDC students gain professional experience in government, nonprofit organizations, and a wide range of public and private sector institutions. This year, UCDC partnered with 246 internship sites across the city.

KKC has hosted UCDC interns from campuses throughout the UC system for over twenty years, providing hands-on legal experience and exposure to whistleblower advocacy. This year, KKC welcomed UCDC interns from UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and UC Santa Barbara, and many former and current KKC staff are alumni of the UCDC program.

This year, KKC interns produced research articles on topics including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the AI Whistleblower Protection Act, and environmental whistleblowing. Interns also contributed to significant casework and advocacy campaigns to improve whistleblower policy. Based on intern nominations and program evaluations, UCDC recognized KKC as an Outstanding Internship Partner for providing meaningful work opportunities, strong mentorship, and a supportive learning environment.

KKC looks forward to continuing its partnership with UCDC and to help foster the next generation of whistleblower attorneys and public interest leaders.
