Kohn Recognized as 2024 NYC Big Book Award Distinguished Favorite

Founding Partner Stephen Kohn’s “Rules for Whistleblowers: A Handbook for Doing What’s Right” has been recognized as a 2024 NYC Big Book Award Distinguished Favorite in the Reference Category.

The NYC Big Book Award honors independent and traditionally published books worldwide. It recognized “Rules for Whistleblowers” for its exceptional editorial quality, audience appeal, and presentation. The award committee praised Kohn’s work for carefully explaining complex rules and laws governing whistleblowing and its detailed strategies for fighting retaliation, emphasizing that “[n]o employee should blow the whistle without knowing their rights.”

This recent award is the latest praise for Kohn’s book. In December 2023, “Rules for Whistleblowers” was awarded a Kirkus Star and named one of the top 100 Indie Books of the year. Upon its release in June 2023, the handbook received acclamation from Publishers Weekly and a five-star review from Reader’s View, which described it as an “all-encompassing dive into whistleblowing.”

Kohn’s book is his seventh publication on whistleblowing and is an invaluable resource for whistleblowers.
