SEC Chairman Nominee to Support Foreign Corrupt Practices Act

Bloomberg BNA reports that President Trump’s nominee for SEC Chairman, Jay Clayton, has stated support for continued use of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), calling it a “powerful and effective tool.” In an April 4 report, Bloomberg BNA cites to written responses to questions from Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), ranking member of the Senate Banking Committee, where Mr. Clayton extensively discussed the FCPA.
