RiskScreen to Host Leading Whistleblower Attorney in Live Webinar

On April 25, Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto (KKC) LLP founding partner Stephen M. Kohn will join RiskScreen CEO Stephen Platt for a live webinar titled “Lessons and Warnings from America’s Leading Whistleblower Lawyer.”

RiskScreen is a technology provider specializing in anti-money laundering and compliance services through their various monitoring programs. The RiskScreen team also operates a blog and the “AML Talk Show” podcast out of KYC360, their AML and financial crime news platform. Kohn is set to appear on the podcast later this month.

Kohn, who helped found the National Whistleblower Center, has been practicing whistleblower law since 1984. He represents Danske Bank whistleblower Howard Wilkinson who exposed a $230 billion money laundering scheme. Disclosures made by Kohn’s clients have resulted in fraudsters paying over $10 billion in sanctions and restitution to victims of corporate crimes.

“Whistleblowers are key to ensuring that those who violate AML rules are held accountable,” Kohn said.

Kohn and his KKC team played an instrumental role in drafting and advocating for the Anti-Money Laundering Whistleblower Improvement Act, passed in December 2022.

Platt, who initially founded the International Compliance Association, has over 25 years of experience in conducting large scale regulatory enquiries into AML compliance failings by large banks and other businesses.
