24th Annual TAF Conference Panel Highlights Internet Best Practices for Attorneys

The Anti-Fraud Coalition’s 24th Annual Conference was held September 25th to 27th in Washington, D.C. Benjamin Calitri, an Associate at Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, spoke at two separate panels during the week.
On Tuesday afternoon, Calitri spoke at the Young Lawyers Division of the conference in the panel “Social Media Best Practices: LinkedIn Guide.” Calitri imparted tips and tricks for maximizing the networking platform, mentoring young lawyers in attendance on how to create content for their profile, boost its engagement, and review its analytics.
On Thursday afternoon, Calitri was featured in the panel session “Best Practices for Marketing Your Firm Ethically in a Crowded Internet.” The session, which provided expert advice on leveraging internet tools like Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Google Advertisements, and LinkedIn, was highly relevant and left the audience well-informed on marketing strategies to responsibly and effectively bolster a practice’s reach.
The panel session detailed ABA Rules regarding attorneys’ professional code of conduct, illuminating the legal landscape that governs internet marketing. Calitri’s discussion focused on the ethical considerations of social media marketing, highlighting issues such as privacy and security, confidentiality, and misleading or false advertising. Attendees left the discussion with the tools and tips to cut through internet noise ethically and legally.
