Voluntary Self-Disclosure Program

In April 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Criminal Division launched a Pilot Program on Voluntary Self-Disclosures for Individuals.

Under the Voluntary Self-Disclosure Program, in certain circumstances, the Criminal Division will enter into a non-prosecution agreement (NPA) with individual participants who voluntarily self-disclose certain types of criminal conduct involving corporations.

In order to be eligible for a non-prosecution agreement under the program, a whistleblower must voluntarily provide original information that is truthful and complete and must agree to fully cooperate with the Criminal Division.

This program is separate from the DOJ Whistleblower Award Program. The Pilot Program on Voluntary Self-Disclosures for Individuals does not offer monetary awards.
