New Edition of Highly Acclaimed Whistleblower Book Scheduled for Early 2017

Internationally recognized whistleblower attorney Stephen M. Kohn is planning to release a fully updated version of The Whistleblower’s Handbook: A Step-by-Step Guide to Doing What’s Right and Protecting Yourself in early 2017. First published in 2011, The Whistleblower’s Handbook is the first-ever consumer guide to whistleblowing. It sets forth twenty-one basic rules every potential whistleblower needs to know. The PEN Center USA* chose The Whistleblower’s Handbook as one of “The Top Ten Books About Whistleblowers.” The highly acclaimed guide to blowing the whistle is the only consumer resource book named to the list.
The Whistleblower’s Handbook is Kohn’s eighth and most comprehensive and important book on whistleblower law. In 1985, Kohn, who is a partner in the Washington, D.C. based whistleblower advocacy firm, wrote the first ever legal treatise on whistleblower law and since then Kohn’s expertise as a legal scholar has been widely recognized in the reviews and commentaries. Kohn is the first author to not only explain American laws regarding whistleblowing but to also provide a guide for how whistleblowers around the world can protect themselves using the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
Kohn previously updated The Whistleblower’s Handbook in 2013 to include insight into the historic Birkenfeld $104 million IRS award, rewards under the FCPA and information about the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act.
The highly anticipated and fully updated 2017 edition of the acclaimed The Whistleblower’s Handbook will include new sections on wildlife whistleblowing, combating foreign corruption, and international whistleblowers. The new edition also includes an all-new international anti-corruption toolkit.
A website has been established for The Whistleblower’s Handbook (http://www.whistleblowershandbook.com) where those interested can learn more about the book and find out how to reserve a copy prior to release.
