The Nuts and Bolts of AML Whistleblower Laws

Join Stephen Kohn — world-renowned expert on whistleblowing, financial crime, and international law — for a conversation explaining the nuts and bolts of blowing the whistle on money laundering.
Kohn helped draft the United States’ Anti-Money Laundering Whistleblower Improvement Act, which was passed at the end of the 2022 legislative session with unanimous approval in the U.S. Senate. The law allows whistleblowers worldwide to receive awards for anonymously reporting money-laundering to the U.S. Department of Treasury. This lecture and luncheon will train AML professionals in the UK on how to take advantage of this transnational law.
Kohn will also be joined by Georgina Halford Hall, CEO of Whistleblowers UK, who has dedicated extensive efforts to enhancing whistleblower protections in the UK. The lecture aims to create knowledge-sharing relationships between US and UK AML practitioners, policy experts, and policy makers.
At the gracious hospitality of Baroness Kramer, the event will be hosted within the House of Commons. Please note, registration is required to receive an invitation, but does NOT guarantee your invitation. Your name will be vetted in accordance with security protocol prior to the extension of an official invitation.
