A former commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has joined the whistleblower law firm Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, as the U.S. regulatory body increasingly relies on informants in many of its major cases.

Allison Herren Lee, now part of the Washington, D.C.-based firm in an of counsel role, expressed her intention to represent whistleblowers in efforts to hold Wall Street accountable and safeguard investors against fraud.
