A Congressional hearing before the House Subcommittee on Government Operations held in January examined the state of federal whistleblower protections. Testimony during the hearing, “Protecting Those Who Blow the Whistle,” prompted the chairman of the subcommittee, Rep. Gerald E. Connolly, to ask for clarification regarding some of the issues discussed.

The follow-up questions concern the success of existing whistleblower programs and what changes could improve current programs.

David Colapinto, whistleblower attorney at Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, testified at the hearing alongside a panel of agency leaders and whistleblower law experts. Yesterday, he sent answers in response to the questions asked on the record. Mr. Colapinto’s responses are available online: Answers to Questions for the Record (2/12/2020).
