As part of its public service, pro bono program, KKC has created an index of CFTC whistleblower award decisions. This index was created due to the difficulty in accessing CFTC award determinations and determining the basis for these determinations.

According to the CFTC, well over 6,000 TCRs have been filed where whistleblowers are entering the award program. We understand that some of these applicants may be “pro se” (i.e. representing themselves), and many attorneys working on these cases have limited experience working in this area. In order ensure that all qualified whistleblowers obtain the award they are due, we have made this index available free of charge.

Since the inception of the Whistleblower Program, the CFTC has issued 25 orders granting a total of more than $120 million in awards

Program made history with the announcement of an unprecedented award of nearly $200 million to a single whistleblower

Total whistleblower awards now totalled $350 million

The whistleblower office receives a 1,744 tips and 317 awarda applications in FY2024.
