Undergraduate Students Learn about Whistleblower Law through The Washington Center Programming

In January 2025, The Washington Center (TWC) sent multiple groups of undergraduate students to the Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto (KKC) office for on-site visits to learn about whistleblower law and the path to becoming a whistleblower lawyer. The Washington Center is a DC-based organization that provides students from throughout the country the opportunity to come to Washington D.C. for immersive seminars and internships.
Students met with Benjamin Calitri, an associate at KKC, who discussed with them what it means to be a whistleblower, the basics of whistleblower law, and his own path to becoming a whistleblower lawyer. The students had very insightful questions about whistleblowers and engaged in great discussion about what activities are and should be protected under whistleblower law.
When he was in college, Ben came to D.C., himself, for a TWC winter seminar. As part of the TWC visits to the KKC office, he had the chance to meet with students from his alma mater, Suffolk University, which is still brought to TWC by his former professor, Professor Kulich.
