KKC Attorneys Attending TAF Financial Fraud Conference

From March 19-21, Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto attorneys will be attending The Anti-Fraud (TAF) Coalition’s Third Annual Financial Fraud Conference. Founding partner David Colapinto, Senior Special Counsel Andrew Feller, and Associates Benjamin Calitri and Allison Wise will be in attendance.
On March 21, Feller will be moderating a panel “Complicated Ethical Issues in Whistleblower Client Representations” which will discuss issues involving complicated privilege issues, lawyers as whistleblowers, and potentially overlapping representations.
Prior to the conference, Calitri moderated an online TAF panel for its Young Lawyers Division entitled “Financial Frauds 101 – Year in Review.”
TAF’s Financial Fraud Conference is a gathering of practitioners working with whistleblowers to crack down on financial fraud. For decades, KKC has represented whistleblowers reporting financial fraud, helping them expose some of the largest financial frauds in history and holding wrongdoers accountable. Whistleblowers looking to report financial fraud can gain protection and qualify for monetary awards under a number of laws, including the False Claims Act, the Dodd-Frank Act, the AML Whistleblower Improvement Act, and the IRS whistleblower law.
