Internship Opportunities

Are you looking for a legal career that combines the pursuit of social justice with high-profile actions in court? Welcome to whistleblower law. At Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, we offer interns the opportunity to work beside the field’s best attorneys.

KKC is a public-interest law firm that specializes in protecting individuals who speak out against criminal practices at work. Among our nationally known clients are government employees who have blown the whistle on criminal conduct in the White House, crime-lab fraud at the FBI and unjust retaliation against assistant U.S. attorneys. We’ve also successfully represented private-sector clients who have reported environmental violations and safety hazards at nuclear power plants and weapons facilities—acting in the national interest at great personal risk.

In addition to their work as litigators at both the trial and appellate levels, our attorneys are respected scholars and authors who have written many of the leading texts on whistleblower law. They’ve represented clients before various investigatory bodies and committees, and regularly assist Congress in drafting legislation tied to employee rights.

Working one-on-one with a KKC attorney or public policy expert, our interns learn what it takes to defend whistleblowers against their powerful opponents. Each intern is expected to complete research and writing assignments, assist at trials and perform all the work of an associate attorney. We accept second- and third-year law students and a few undergraduates. All internships are voluntary and can be taken for credit. Letters in support of grant applications and other assistance will be furnished upon request. Internships are awarded throughout the year.
